Our Mission:
Caregivers are Love Warriors—fierce, compassionate, and unwavering in their devotion to their loved ones. But who cares for the caregivers?
At CWI, we are dedicated to nurturing those who nurture others. Our mission is to restore balance, renewal, and well-being to caregivers of children with special needs. Through massage, holistic health education, workshops, and a supportive community, we create a space for healing, connection, and empowerment—because caregivers deserve care, too.
Benefits of Massage and Sound Therapy
Benefits of Massage
Opening up to positive touch and support reflects one's joy of giving. It reminds us why we are steadfast in the role of caregivers.
Caregiving is an act of love, but in focusing so much on others, we often forget to care for ourselves. Stress builds, affecting both mind and body. Massage can be a powerful way to restore balance, helping caregivers replenish their energy and well-being.
Soundbaths
Our workshop offers a full sensory healing experience through breath, guided meditation, tone, vibration, and touch. Sound waves act as a vessel, guiding you effortlessly into a deep state of relaxation. We incorporate ancient Tibetan singing bowl frequencies, which calm the nervous system, clear stress, and create a profound state of restoration.
Reconnecting Caregivers to Their Own Well-Being
Our workshop is designed to remind caregivers of the importance of receiving care, reinforcing the value of what they give to others. Allowing ourselves to be cared for isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential for our well-being.
Caregivers who have received massage often share that they feel the tension melt away, leaving them deeply reconnected to themselves.

There is hope. We can do this!
Any parent of a child with autism or special needs will tell you that their life is forever changed by their child’s condition. A recent study in The Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders explains precisely how different life can be. Researchers from the University of Wisconsin at Madison followed groups of mothers and their ASD children (adolescents and adults) for eight days. They were interviewed at the end of each day, and saliva samples were taken every four days.
Among the findings:
-
The levels of chronic stress experienced by the mothers were similar to those of combat soldiers: The more significant the child’s behavior problems, the worse the mothers’ stress.
-
Mothers of those with autism reportedly spend at least two hours more each day caring for those children than a comparative group of mothers whose children were not on the spectrum.
-
The mothers of children with ASD were interrupted at work an average of once every four days. For the other mothers, the frequency was fewer than one interruption every ten days.
This study was conducted with mothers of children with autism, but all family members are affected.
